This light-filled new build gives each learning group its own dedicated space. The middle and upper years each have an open-plan classroom with a learning plaza, three instruction rooms and an outdoor classroom.
The youngest and oldest infants also have their own learning plaza and outdoor classroom, complete with a shared ‘jungle-gym’, as well as toilet and baby-changing facilities. What’s more, there are nap rooms for the youngest children to dream peacefully.
A learning environment is an inspiring place where independence, communication and collaboration take centre stage.
This is precisely what Permeke Primary School focuses on: language-minded thinkers and independent doers. The Dox Originals support this ambition by creating space for gathering, interaction and exchange.
In this way, the educational vision is reflected in the interior design, which invites children to engage in dialogue and take the initiative in their own learning process.
